A pilot who just wanted a quiet run through deep space.
Fated Stars Book 3
Two hundred days. That's what the contract says. Zia Mimlee has flown longer runs, carried stranger cargo, and asked fewer questions. She's good at this. The Loverly 6 is good at this. They will be fine.
She says this to herself on Day One, before the Fraluma warrior in the third chamber decides she needs a sentry. Before the boarding attempts start. Before she learns who she's actually carrying — and what it means for a war she didn't think was hers.
The black has a way of making things personal.
